Painting zoo animals

 We had such a great time at the zoo, it was so great to see how children were discussing different animals, looking closely at the animals and applying knowledge about what we have learnt about them. We were being scientist by observing, taking notice and looking closely at the animals. 

We talked some more about what the zookeeper said about how the zookeepers made sure to make the animal enclosures like their habitats. 

We then painted our favourite zoo animals. This needed lots of concentration and paying attention to details of the drawing and painting.

Animal masks

 As it is getting close to the zoo trip day, we have been learning a lot about different types of animals, what they eat, and their habitats. 

Today we made their favourite animal masks, then we acted out like we were in the zoo. We made our own Room 2 zoo. 

What an amazing job everyone did! I loved seeing how engaged they were in making these masks!
